(01) Approach

Our approach

We organise indoor and outdoor spaces so every part of a site earns its place, with a delicate balance between nature, aesthetics and function.

  1. 01

    Sustainability

We look at the landscape, understanding its soil, water, climate and natural features before designing. Every design works with the land, making space for natural drainage, efficient irrigation and planting that thrives in its surroundings.

  2. 02

    Function

Landscape designs shaped around how people use and experience a space, balancing comfort, safety, accessibility and shade with practical features that remain easy and affordable to maintain over time.

  3. 03

    Aesthetics

Structure, texture and colour composed with restraint, so a landscape looks right on handover day and better five years on.

(02) Selected work

Offices, homes and public parks across Kenya.

A selection from more than twenty projects, from a 30-acre coastal park to roof gardens in the middle of Nairobi.

(03) Transformations

From bare earth to places people gather.

Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys, to compare each site before and after our work.

Before: Kilifi park amphitheatre during earthworks: bare terraced soil around the paved stage After: Kilifi park amphitheatre complete: grassed terraces around the brick and coral-stone stage
Amphitheatre, Recreational Park, Kilifi (2022): from graded earth to grassed terraces around a coral-stone stage.
Before: The same UN courtyard during construction: bare red soil and drainage chambers After: Completed courtyard at the UN complex in Nairobi: paved path, lawn and a planted island between new office blocks
Courtyard at the new UN office blocks, Nairobi (2023–25).

Rehabilitation counts too

Not every project starts from bare soil. Our rehabilitation and maintenance contracts bring tired gardens back, as at the KMA residence in 2025.

(05) How we work

A clear path from first visit to a thriving landscape.

  1. 01

    Site visit & brief

We walk the site with you, assess its existing conditions, opportunities and constraints, and understand your needs and preferences before agreeing on the project’s brief.

  2. 02

    Concept & detailed design

We progress from initial concept sketches to site plans, detailed construction drawings and landscape bill of quantities, developing each stage step by step to turn ideas into a buildable design.

  3. 03

    Build & supervision

Our team installs, or supervises your contractor, until the landscape matches the design.

  4. 04

    Care & maintenance

Optional maintenance contracts keep the garden healthy as it matures.
